Use a variety of imports during implementation and continued use of Bob.

How to complete other types of imports

The Import area of Settings allows you to import basic people data, photos, and documents. There are other areas of Bob in which you can import data.

Note: Some imports may be completed in their specific area in Bob. See the corresponding help article to locate the specific import.

Organize your job catalog and positions and the assignment of each in bulk.

If your company uses a physical time clock device, you can import the attendance information to Bob to manage time off.

If you have goal data stored in another platform or spreadsheet, you can import your goals into the Goals module to continue monitoring and measuring individual, department, and company goals progress.

Bulk import review answers into review forms pre-launch. Use this import to pre-populate forms with personalized and previous answers in the review form.

How to manage the import drive

Use the import drive to store documents you will import later or have your colleagues verify the upload before it’s imported into employees’ profiles, documents, or goals, or performance reviews.

Validations reports and error reports are automatically saved to the drive when errors are detected in the import. If the validation is passed, the imported file will also be uploaded to the import drive whether the import was successful or included errors.

  1. From the left menu, select Settings > Import.
  2. Click the View import drive icon to add new files to the drive.
  3. Use the search icon to look for specific files in the drive.
  4. Mark the checkbox(es) to the left of the file(s), then from the Actions dropdown menu, select:
    • Download to review the file(s).

    • Delete, then Delete again to remove the file(s) from the drive.
  5. Click Upload data file or the upload icon to add files to the drive for review or storage before an import.
