Note: By default, users will begin synchronization on their start date.

Before you begin

It is essential to use the same work email address for users in both Bob and Quinyx, because this is the unique identifier for the integration.

You therefore need to create a custom field in Bob (type list) with unit names as they appear in Quinyx. This will allow Bob to assign users to their correct Home Unit in Quinyx. In order to pull the Unit list:

  1. Log into Quinyx.
  2. Click on your name in the top right.
  3. On the left bar click Organization
  4. Copy the name of the desired units.
  5. In Bob, place them as part of the created list.

Additional fields

Quinyx supports passing additional fields. 

  • Customers can configure additional fields in Quniyx according to the Quniyx guide
  • The additional fields should be set in Bob according to their key in Quniyx.
  • Once the additional field is added in Bob, please contact Bob support in order to add the required mapping. 

How to set up Quinyx integration in Bob

Step 1: In Quinyx

  1. Open the Account settings.
  2. Click Integrations API-keys 
  3. Click on the TOP domain (domain type).
  4. Click Show key.
  5. Copy the API key in order to place it in Bob.

Step 2: In Bob

  1. From the left menu, select Settings > Integrations.
  2. Select Time Tracking & Scheduling.
  3. In the Quinyx tile, click Connect.
  4. Enter the Quinyx API key.
  5. Under Quinyx environment select whether the integration is set to the Quinyx Sandbox OR Production account.
  6. Select the custom field that will pass the Unit to Quinyx.
  7. Click Connect.
