An HR Admin can create a hiring plan to meet the headcount and talent needs of a company, per quarter.

How to set a target headcount

  1. From the left menu, select People > Hiring.
  2. Click Target headcount.

    Tip: Use the Analytics module to help plan and manage your hiring plan. To learn more, see Getting started with HR KPI Dashboards and Headcount KPI.

  3. From the Breakdown by dropdown menu, select the criteria relevant to your hiring plan, e.g., Work, Employment, Lifecycle. 
    Search or scroll for your relevant hiring categories. 
  4. Select a Starting from date (optional) to narrow down the date range for both viewing and setting the target headcount.
  5. Click the pencil icon on each row, then + Add quarter to add additional consecutive quarters.
  6. Enter the target headcount number for each quarter.
  7. Click Save.

How to manage future hires

  1. From the left menu, select People > Hiring.
  2. Click + Add new hire.

    Note: To edit an existing planned hire, select the position and Edit. To close a job, select the position and mark the Close job checkbox, enter the close requirement for the job, then click Save. Closed positions are presented in the Hiring History and are removed from the total headcount number in the hiring plan.

  3. Select the Job title, Department, Hiring manager, Site from the dropdown menus, and Scheduled date.
  4. Enable Budget approved to mark this position as financially approved (optional).
  5. Select the Contract type, enter the Salary, select Currency type, enter the Bonus and Commission, select the Pay period, and enter the Options (optional).
  6. Mark the Replacement checkbox if it’s to replace an existing position and person. 
  7. Click Save.

Planned hires will appear in a quarterly review of the Hiring Plan section. You can also view planned hires in your Org chart for a visual representation of your organizational development. To learn more, see View Org charts.
