You’re joining a new company, that’s great!

Let us show you how to log into Bob.

Before we begin, it’s important to note that there’s a slight difference between logging in before your start date versus logging in on your start date.

If you’ve been hired and your official start date is in the future,you may have received an invite to your personal email, where you can set up your profile as part of the onboarding flow.

When you’re first official day arrives, full access to Bob will be granted.

You’ll receive an invitation to your work email where you’ll set up your password and login.

For your first login, make sure you use your computer and not the mobile app.

Once you’ve logged in on your computer, you can then log into the mobile app as often as you’d like.

Let’s review some issues that may occur during the login process and provide you with quick solutions.

Whoops, I forgot my password.

No worries. Just click on “forgot your password” and a reset link will be sent to your email.

Click the link in the email to set a new one.

I have logged in before but I’m unable to log in now?

A common cause of login failure is simply due to mistyping an email or password or using the wrong one.

Double check just to make sure they’re both correct.

Did you know that Bob has an official logging URL? It’s app.hibob.com.

If you are still experiencing issues try logging in from there.

I see the message user does not exist?

If you see this, it means that your email was not registered in Bob.

Reach out to your HR or admin so your email could be added.

What happens if I use an SSO and I can’t log in?

If your company uses single sign on such as Google, Okta, or Azure, click the relevant link in the login screen.

Your work email address must match the SSO email address.

If it doesn’t match, contact your HR or admin.

Same goes if you can’t log into SSO on mobile.

What if I tried to log in and see verification failed?
Please contact support@hibob.com. First, try resetting your password. If login still fails, contact us.

Before you begin

Logging into Bob is the gateway to accessing everything Bob has to offer. If you're a new joiner or your company recently started using Bob, then please note the following:   

If I am a new joiner, what do I need to do?
If you’re a new joiner in the company, you may receive an invite to your personal email where you can set up your Bob profile. Once your first day arrives, you’ll receive an invitation to your work email where you can set up your password and login.

Note: If you want to use the mobile app to log in, you will first need to log in using your computer from the invitation link. Once you’ve logged in via computer, you can then log in through the mobile app.

I’m not a new joiner but I’ve never used Bob, how do I log into Bob?
If your company just started using Bob (yay!) please make sure you use the invitation email link that was sent to your work email to access your Bob account.

Common Login issues and solutions

Let’s review some issues that may arise during the login process and their solutions.

I have already logged in before, but am unable to login now?
Whenever you log into Bob make sure to use the official login URL link Bob - Put your people first.

Note: A very common cause of login failure is simply due to mistyping email/password or using the wrong email/password. If your company uses email and password to log in to Bob, please make sure you are using the correct email and correct password.

What happens if I forgot my password?
No worries, there is a forgot/reset password option on the login page. Click on “forgot your password” and a reset link will be sent to your email. Click the link in the email and type in your new password.

Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters long, contain one capital letter and one number.

What do I do if I receive the message, “user does not exist?”
If you see this message, it means that your email was not registered in Bob; reach out to your HR/Admin so your email can be added.

What happens if I use an SSO (Single sign-on) and I can’t log in?
SSO, Single sign-on, is a session and user authentication service that permits your employees to use one set of login credentials (e.g., name and password) to access multiple applications. Supported and most commonly used SSOs include:

  • Google
  • Microsoft Azure
  • One-Login
  • Okta
  • JumpCloud

If your company uses single sign on, click the relevant SSO buttons in the login screen.

Note:  Check that your work email address matches the SSO email address, if it doesn't match, contact your HR or Admin rep.

What do I do if I try to log into Bob with SSO and receive a message to "confirm your current password" due to private security information?
These messages are from external sign on platforms (office 365. Azure...) and not from Bob. Contact your company IT representatives to fix the verification policy. image__10_.png

What if I try to log into Bob on the mobile app and it fails?
If you are trying to log in via Bob’s mobile app, please make sure you login via the SSO buttons in the login page:

What do I do if I tried to log in and received the message, “Verification failed, please contact support@hibob.com?"
First try resetting your password, this will usually resolve the issue. If login still fails please contact Customer Experience support@hibob.com.
