Use the Reports page to generate and customize reports containing any of the employee data saved in Bob - from time off data to employee job changes.

Get the most out of Bob

  • Use one of the pre-created templates or create a report from scratch using any of the fields available in Employee fields.
  • Every report can be customized to your specific needs by filtering the data and adding, removing, renaming or moving columns.
  • You can create a Change-tracking report to identify changes in data since the last time the report was run.
  • Keep your reports organized by creating folders in either the Company reports or My reports sections, depending on whether you want it to be available to your colleagues.

How to create a report

There are three ways to create a report:

After you’ve created a report it can be customized and saved in either the Company reports or My reports sections. 

You can then take actions on the report, such as schedule it to run regularly or email it to a colleague.

How to generate a general report from scratch

  1. From the left menu, select Analytics > Reports.
  2. Click + Add New.
  3. Select Report > Start from scratch > General report.
    The Build report from scratch popup appears, containing the column picker.
  4. From the left column, select the fields you want to appear as columns in the report. Either search for the field or click on a category. Then, click on the field name to add it to the column on the right.
  5. In the right column, drag the field names to rearrange the order that the columns will appear in the report.
  6. To delete a field from the right column, hover over the field name and click the X
  7. Click Generate.
    The report will be displayed.
  8. Use the filters and/or the column picker to customize the data shown in the report.
    By default, the View by, Lifecycle status, and Employment quick filters are available above the report. To access other filters click Advanced.
  9. To save the report, click Save as, enter a name for the report and add a description if necessary. Then, select the folder to save it in or create a new folder and click Save

    Note: If you leave the page before saving the report the report will not be saved. 

How to generate a report from a template

  1. From the left menu, select Analytics > Reports.
  2. Click + Add New.
  3. Select Report > Use a template.
  4. Select a category from the left menu, or search for a report name.
  5. Click on one of the report tiles. 
  6. Click Generate.
    The report will be displayed.
  7. Use the filters and/or column picker to customize the data shown in the report.
    Quick filters are available above the report. To access other filters click Advanced.
  8. To save the report, click Save as, enter a name for the report and add a description if necessary. Then, select the folder to save it in or create a new folder and click Save

    Note: If you leave the page before saving the report it will not be saved. 

How to duplicate an existing report

  1. From the left menu, select Analytics > Reports
  2. Click on either My reports or Company reports and select the desired folder.
    The reports contained in the selected folder will be shown in the table on the right.
  3. Check the box in the row of the report you’d like to duplicate, and from the Actions menu, select Duplicate.
  4. Or, click on the row of the report you’d like to duplicate to open the report, click More in the top right corner and select Duplicate.
    The Duplicate report popup will appear. 
  5. Enter a name for the report and add a description if necessary. Then, select the folder to save it in or create a new folder and click Save

How to create a new folder

Keep your reports organized and easily accessible by creating subfolders inside the My reports and Company reports folders.

  1. From the left menu, select Analytics > Reports.
  2. Click + Add New >Folder.
  3. Fill in the Name field and then choose to Save to either My reports or Company reports.
  4. Click Create. Your new folder will be listed under the selected report type.mceclip0.png
