Export the Time off calendar to an external calendar

If you need to export the time off calendar to a service such as Google Calendar or Outlook, you can create links from the time off calendar.

Notes:
  • An admin will need to enable Calendar Export in Integrations for this feature to function.
  • Once the link is created you will need to paste it in the external calendar service.

Get the most out of Bob

  • Exporting a time off calendar to your external calendar service ensures any time off requests saved in Bob are automatically added to your Google or Outlook calendar. This makes it easy to check your colleagues’ time off plans in Google or Outlook.
  • If you only want to export a specific group of employee's time off calendars, rather than the entire company's, you can filter the calendar and create a custom link.

How to export the whole company's time off calendar

  1. Click View calendar links below the calendar.
  2. Click Copy link next to the Company time off requests calendar field.
  3. Paste the link in the external calendar service.

How to export a group of employees' time off calendars

  1. Filter the calendar to show the desired list of employees.
  2. Click Save view to custom calendar view below the calender.
  3. Click View calendar links.
  4. Click Copy link next to the Custom calendar field.
  5. Paste the link in the external calendar service.

How to copy links to Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. Click + next to Add a coworkers calendar.
  3. From the dropdown, select From URL.
  4. Paste in the URL copied from Bob. 
  5. Click Add calendar.

How to copy links to Outlook

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click Add calendar.
  3. Select From internet.
  4. Add the calendar link and give it a name.
  5. The Internet Calendar opens in side-by-side view in Outlook and is added to the Navigation Panel in Calendar view under Other Calendars.

FAQs

Do private time off policies appear in an integrated calendar?
No. If the policy is private it will not appear in the calendar.

My team's time off is no longer updating in my Google Calendar. How can I fix this?
Try adding ?noCache to the custom link generated in Bob. If you still have issues we reccomend contacting Google support, as this is likely an issue on the Google side.
