We want you to feel at home with Bob and make it your own. If you're anything like us, you use it every day, so it's all the more reason to align it with your company branding!

You can add your organization's logo, color palette, and background images to celebrate your unique culture throughout your employee experience.

Before you begin

  • For best practices, use the guidance of a designer in your organization, particularly a UI Designer.
  • Ensure that you have all of your new graphic assets, i.e., logo and background images, available to you before making any changes. If you’ve previously customized Bob, back up your old visual assets as you can revert to the Bob default but not revert to your previously customized settings.

How to add your organization's logo

Tip: Prepare your logo file for uploading before you begin. The recommended format for this image is a PNG file at least 220 pixels wide.

  1. From the left menu, select Settings > Personalization.
  2. Select Web & Mobile app.
  3. In the Company logo section, click on the pencil icon.
  4. Drag and drop or click browse files to select your logo file, then click Upload.
  5. Click Done when the upload is complete.
  6. Continue to personalize the Bob according to your brand or click Save.

Note: The logo is not visible when viewing Bob in full-screen mode.

How to add your organization's theme colors

Adjust the theme colors to match your brand's color palette. Use your brand colors and see how it looks via the preview screen to make adjustments as needed. You can adjust the buttons' colors, indicators of where you are in Bob, and the side menu to a single color.

Tip: Any adjustments to the primary and secondary button colors when personalizing the Web & Mobile App will carry over to outbound emails. If you would like to have different colors for emails, you can change them in Outbound emails.

To change the Primary button, Secondary button, Primary indication, and Side menu to a solid color:

  1. Enter the hex color code or click the field to open the color picker and select the color.
The chosen color will appear on the preview screen to the left.

Tip: Darker colors are most commonly used for primary buttons and may show best since the button's text is light. Lighter or faded colors are most widely used for secondary buttons since the button's text is dark.

  2. Click Apply.
  3. Continue to personalize the Bob according to your brand or click Save.

Tip: Need to start again? You can reverse your changes to the Bob default settings by clicking the restore icon at the top right of the section.

How to add background images

You may change the background image for each module by uploading your graphics.

Tip: Prepare your file(s) for uploading before you begin. The recommended format for this image is a rectangular image saved as a PNG file at least 1920x1440 pixels wide.

  1. In the Background images section, click on the pencil icon of the background image you’d like to personalize.
  2. Drag and drop or click browse files to select your background image, then click Upload.
  3. Click Done when the upload is complete.

Tip: If you want the same background image for each module, upload the background image to Home. Enable Apply to all to have the same background image on the Home screen for all modules.

  4. Continue to personalize the Bob according to your brand or click Save.

Tip: Need to start again? You can reverse your changes to the Bob default settings by clicking the restore icon at the top right of the section.
