Time & attendance insights give you a quick overview of your employees’ attendance patterns.

You can see the average number of hours your employees have been working each day, when people usually clock in and out, and more.

Get the most out of Bob

  • Instantly see the average time your employees clocked in and out during a selected time period.
  • Filter the data by any Employee field parameter, such as site, job title and department.
  • See the total number of employees who clocked in and out during hourly periods throughout the day.
  • Download individual employee time off and attendance data.

How to view average clock in/out and hours worked data

  1. From the left menu, select Time > Insights.The Insights page opens.
  2. Select the Average Behavior tab.By default the data is shown for the entire company.
    • The red circle shows the average clock in time.
    • The blue circle shows the average clock out time. 
    • The Total daily average shows the average number of hours employees are working each day.
  3. You can filter the data by any available employee field.
    Click the View and Lifecycle quick filters at the top of the page or click More to open the advanced filters. This limits the data shown to reflect a limited number of employees. E.g. if you click the View filter and select only the Berlin and London sites you will see the average clock in time, clock out time and total daily hours for employees in those sites.
  4. Use the date range filter at the top of the page to limit the time period the data covers.

How to view the average clock in/out times by day

  1. From the left menu, select Time > Insights.The Insights page opens.
  2. Select the Average by Hrs. tab.
    • The red dots show how many employees clocked in during each hour–period each day.
    • The blue dots show how many employees clocked out during each hour–period each day.
  3. Hover over one of the dots to see the actual number of employees who clocked in or out during that time period. E.g., in the above screenshot, 272 employees clocked in between 08:00 and 09:00 on Thursdays.
  4. Like with the Average behavior tab, you can filter the data by any available employee field. 
  5. Use the date range filter at the top of the page to limit the time period the data covers.

How to view individual employee attendance and time off data

The table at the bottom of the Insights page gives you full details of each employees’ working pattern during the time period selected in the date range filter at the top of the page.

It includes data such as the number of days and hours worked, amount of vacation taken and amount of sick leave taken.

  • To add a column to the table, click the column picker.
  • To sort the table by a column click the column header.
  • To move a column, click the header and drag it.

FAQs

Can I download employee and attendance time off data?
You can download the employee time and attendance table as a CSV or XLS file. Click the Download icon at the top left of the table and select the file format. The spreadsheet will be downloaded to your device.
